Founded in 2015, Love Kenya (formerly Lee Sisters Foundation) has a vision of helping impoverished children in Kenya live better lives.

Sanna Kariniemi, Founder & Director

Satu Lee, Co-Founder & Advisor 

In addition to being a mother, Satu has a background in program management which has been helpful in planning and strategy along with oversight of projects. She brings energy and passion to the work and is involved in fundraising, marketing and outreach projects.

Ruth Koech, Advisory Board - Kenya

In 2017, Ruth was appointed as the Minister of Health for Nandi County in Kenya.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Biology and a Master’s in Public Health Management, with a background in the health sector for over two decades. She has worked as a healthcare provider and as a Public Health Administrator for Iowa State Public Health Department in the USA and in this role, was responsible for a budget of over $2,500,000. Ruth is married with four children and lives in Kapsabet, Kenya.

Edinah Rotich, Advisory Board - Kenya

Edinah Rotich is a Kenyan female volleyball player. She is part of the KCB Volleyball Team.  Previously, she was managed by and played for the Kenyan women's national volleyball team.  Between 2014 and 2015, Edinah worked in the office of the First Lady of Kenya, Mrs. Margaret Kenyatta as her Aide-de-Camp.  Currently, Edinah is the Director of Aspire Sports, an agency in Nairobi that nurtures talents in boys and girls volleyball, basketball and football.  She also is an Ambassador for the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK).

Elly Kurgat, Advisory Board - Kenya

Elly is a 28 year old self-motivated, strategic thinking professional with over 5 years experience managing multiple projects in non-profit and quasi-government sectors. He serves as the Minister of Sports in Nandi County and brings his integrity and a strong work ethic to the LKF team. 

Elly has demonstrated experience developing intervention strategies that address youth radicalization in high risk environments. He has practical experience designing, sourcing funds and implementing ideas geared towards addressing youth unemployment and community development. He has been extensively involved in community youth mentorship programs and initiatives; while in college, he was part of the robust team that formed the Kalenjin Youth Outreach programme that targeted mentorship and support of youths in schools and colleges.

Elly has widely consulted with international donor agencies on multi-cultural projects and supported their implementations, simultaneously.
